I was happy to find a nice sturdy shoe that did not have laces or velcro. I think the shoes will hold up until he outgrows them.

I've owned these shoes and wore them on a daily basis for a little more than 8 months now. They fit well, they are comfortable, and they provide great traction.

I recommend these shoes for day hikes and general traveling. I bought these shoes prior to a trip to Hawaii - I liked them so much my wife bought a pair as well.
