Adidas is set to launch the world first performance laceless basketball shoe,the Adidas T-MAC 4 with HUG Systems Technology on October 29-2004. The Adidas T-MAC 4 features a revolutionary closure system that locks the foot securely in place, providing superior comfort and fit. The process that has led to the HUG Systems Technology began in early 2001 in the office and laboratories of the Adidas Innovation Team.The HUG Systems Technology idea came from the closure system of a ski boot. The HUG element fits over the top of the area of the foot.This is attached to the rear of the shoe by cables that put the element under tension, which is maintained by a closure device on the heel counter. The closure device, a slider/lever system is used to control the fit. Turning the adjustment wheel moves the slider up and down on the thread, giving the athlete the most precise fit possible.

I love these shoes. This is the second pair I've purchased and there is no break-in period for them. I just ordered them, laced them up, and started hiking with them as there is no break-in period required. I was referred to them originally because I had plantar fasciitis and they were the only shoes I could wear to help me recover. I recovered and fell in love with them. Highly recommended!

These are the most comfortable hiking boots I have worn. The ankle support is just right for going over rocky terrain and not too much for walking on sidewalks and around the yard. Absolutely great!!!

They have good arch support (he is flat footed) and are comfortable. He has very muscular ankles/legs which are hard to fit but these boots fit well for someone with that kind of build and I will continue to buy this particular boot because the fit is excellent and he's hasn't had to return either pair.
